The ESC is more than unemployment or job hunting. Liaison with other human resource agencies permits integration with a wide range of services. Your veteran representative knows the rules for veteran preferences and the laws regarding employment. He understands the sometimes unique needs of the veteran. See him for personal assistance with job hunting or job training. On-line computer work stations are available for on-line job hunting. There is a special computer reserved for veterans use. You may be surprised to learn that the ESC is part of the state of North Carolina, and is a national leader for on-line job hunting. Your ESC office is at 309 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City. Federal Benefits for Veterans Unemployment Compensation Weekly unemployment compensation may be paid to discharged servicemembers for a limited period of time. The amount and duration of payments are governed by state laws.
